I love drinking all types of juice. My favorites are mixed berry juices but coming in at a close second are greens.
On a recent trip to NYC, green juices became an everyday beverage. It was cold and everyone was sick so I kept the good juices flowing with greens. With an added kick of ginger, the sweet and sour flavor of green apples, and a dash of olive oil, these juices gave me a bigger pick me up than coffee in the morning.
I had also just gotten the Tribest Slowstar SW-2000 Vertical Slow Juicer and Mincer and couldn't wait to try it out! This thing is awesome, one of my favorite slow juicers that I have ever used! This juicer is definitely top notch and isn't like the fast juicers you may be used to. You get a high yield of nutrient rich juices with minimal pulp and this can juice just about anything you'd like. We LOVE the recipe below but also can't wait to try out the Slowstar with beets, berries, carrots, and more. Juicing isn't the only thing you can do with the Slowstar either. You can make smoothies, sorbets, nut butters... this juicer has it all. *see video below
*Yields about two 12oz glasses of juice.
5 large leafs of Kale
6 large handfuls of spinach
1 to 2 pinches of whole parsley (*see photos for approximate amount)
2 green apples
5 tsp ginger syrup (try our ginger syrup recipe HERE)
1 tbsp olive oil (we used Holman Ranch Olive Oil)
Slowly add everything but ginger syrup and olive oil to your Tribest Slowstar SW-2000 Vertical Slow Juicer and Mincer (or juicer you have at home). Spoon in and mix ginger syrup and olive oil into the final container of juice. Enjoy!
