When I found this recipe, I was looking for a simple, weeknight recipe for my Family that was not only a 'set it and forget it' recipe, but one that could be re-purposed in many different ways. Cooking pork in the slow cooker is simple and delicious, especially when you add Kyvan's sweet BBQ sauce. My entire family loved the Sweet BBQ Sandwiches I made and we were able to use the BBQ the following night to make loaded baked potatoes. There's no need to stop there though, you could make BBQ quesadillas, nachos, wraps for lunch, and more... I hope you enjoy these simple recipes as much as my family and I did!
SWEET BBQ SANDWICHES
1 2lb. Pork Tenderloin
1 12oz. can root beer or cola
1 bottle KYVAN Sweet BBQ sauce
1 pack Hamburger Buns
Place the pork tenderloin in a slow cooker; pour the root beer or cola over the meat. Cover and cook on low until well cooked and the pork shreds easily, 6 to 7 hours. Drain well. Stir in KYVAN sweet barbecue sauce. Serve on hamburger buns.
SWEET BBQ LOADED BAKED POTATOES
For dinner the next night place some of the leftover shredded pork on a split baked potato. Top with shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, etc....
Both the Sweet BBQ sandwiches and Baked Potatoes are simple, delicious weeknight recipes that we make time and time again. Enjoy!
