So this 4th of July we decided to keep things WAYYYyyyy simple. Yes of course we can't resist the urge to cook but we've tried to sum up this year with four simple dishes.
First up of course is BBQ, and whatever you may choose to throw on the grill this year (chicken, tofu, ribs, veggies) Chris from season one gave us the perfect 'Cola Q' BBQ sauce to go with it all. Here is his recipe.
Next up we are making some killer smoked gouda Mac n Cheese, it's our big dog in charges 'secret' recipe so he won't post it, but, here are Real Food Real Kitchens picks for the Top 10 Mac n Cheese recipes!
For the 2nd side we are making some of the most delicious, spicy grilled corn we have ever had. Made by our Brooklyn friends at Habana Outpost, you will never be able to eat corn any other way after you try this. Head over to our friends at The Food Network who nabbed up this amazing recipe!
And for desert we MUST ALWAYS reinforce the amazing fruit cobbler made by season 1 guest Sabrina. We have made this cobbler so many times it has it's own dedicated pan for the oven. With so many great fruits in season, pick your favorite and Enjoy! You can find the recipe HERE! Be sure to watch Sabrina's Southern Food episode HERE!
This 4th of July will be a delicious one, and a rockin' one later tonight when we head out to see one of our favorite bands play, SWIMM. Be safe, happy, healthy, and enjoy!
