Double Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Today is Easter and what better way to make the day sweeter than with some Chewy Fudge Brownies. We didn't even know these were in our near future until we woke up this morning and the entire RFRK house smelled like yummy, delicious, chocolate. Not a breakfast of Champions, but we couldn't resist.

INGREDIENTS

1/4 c. butter
ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9" square pan.

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Pour into bowl. Add sugar and eggs. Beat until well blended. Stir in flour and vanilla. Stir in nuts. Bake 30 minutes, until a slight imprint remains when lightly touched. Cool slightly in pan on rack. Cut into squares while still warm. Cool completely.
