Taking place at Brooklyn’s 'The Green Building' in Carroll Gardens (a hop, skip, and a jump from us in Prospect Heights), the Tasting Brooklyn will feature even more outstanding restaurants, chefs, local purveyors and products than before. A celebration of the ever-growing epicurean culture found throughout the borough, this event honors and pays homage to all things delicious and Brooklyn based.
“The Tasting Brooklyn event showcases the diverse food scene found in several neighborhoods and makes it possible for people to get a real taste of restaurants, bars, wineries and spirit distilleries found there,” says Brooklyn Exposed & Tasting Brooklyn Founder Sharon Beason. “In its 4th year, Tasting Brooklyn is a testament of our dedication to showing people what Brooklyn really has to offer from its hidden gems to its better known establishments – each truly delicious. “
A few of the Brooklyn companies offering up deliciousness this year are:
Food Purveyors: 1 Knickerbocker, Benchmark, Dinosaur BBQ, Dosa Royale, El Born, Fairway Market, Falansai, Hunter's, Luke's Lobster, Martha, Palo Santo, Taco Santo, Tchoup Shop, St. Austere, The Pines, Zona Rosa, Robicellis, Baked, Fabipops
Drink Purveyors: Alice's Arbor, Brooklyn Oenology, Cacao Prieto, Huckleberry Bar, Lavender Lake, Owney's Rum, Sixpoint Beer, White Pike, Widow Jane
A portion of Tasting Brooklyn's ticket sales will be donated to the New York chapter of Slow Food, an international organization whose mission is to promote sustainable and responsible agriculture and make high quality, seasonal (and better tasting) food available to everyone.
