You couldn't have asked for a better weekend for this years Clearwater Beach Uncorked at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa. It was sunny, cool, with a nice ocean breeze coming off the gulf. With perfect atmospheric conditions in place, we move on to the gastronomic conditions which were in short superb!
Two and a half tents filled with food and drink right on the white sand beaches of Clearwater, you couldn't have asked for more! The completely relaxed vibe at the festival was so present there was covered lounge chairs, quick chair massages, and even an area for you to leave your shoes as you walked from vendor to vendor on the beach. Vendors of all flavors had mouthfuls of samples waiting for you to try: Haagen-Dasz, Buitoni, Cabot Cheese, Jamba Juice, different cheese, crunchy snacks and plenty of local fare from area restaurants. You also couldn't pass up the Publix Aprons stage where chefs gave big, bold demonstrations on cooking an array of tasteful and healthful dishes. All of this paved trails for multiple rounds through sweet and savory heavens . The food in tent one led to tent two where the 'uncorked' part of the party took place.
Wines were being poured like waterfalls fed by vineyards from all over the world. Craft beers left their marks in beards and on bright red lips that were all followed by bright white smiles. There was more than could be had unless you had a partner in tow that willing to carry you home
There was one final hidden gem, I called it the 1/2 tent, which was filled with spirits from brands like: Tito's Vodka, Junior's Midnight Moon that fused juice and 'moon', Mionetto Chapagne, and Deep Eddy Vodka. This tent soared high with laughter and tickled the nose with all types of mix-o-logy delights.
After getting our fill and lying down in a lounge chair for a quick siesta, we headed for home... but not before we had the chance to watch other guests dance the afternoon away as the sun started to dim... an end to a happy day for all indeed.
