Thank Day Thoughts and Food

It's Time for Family, Friends, Food, and Love!

What's Your Tradition?

Buttermilk Poundcake

As Thanksgiving approaches, it may seem weird to say it, but while the food is good and great (and I am plenty thankful for it), it's the time with friends and family that I am most thankful for. Another thing I love about this time of year is learning about and experiencing the great traditions that everyone has.

Some traditions revolve around food of course: mashed potatoes, sweet potato pie, green bean casserole, stuffing... were always a few of my favorites. Growing up in a pretty normal suburban household... my families biggest traditions were eating twice and trying to make it to church on time.

As I've grown older and my circle of friends has grown, I've learned to throw caution in to the wind and try out as many traditions and experiences as I can each year. I also try to get out and visit as many friends as possible each thank day (the eating twice tradition has grown to 3 or 4 times now, lol). So, I'm curious to know, what are some of your Holiday traditions that are a little different, quirky, or crazy that you celebrate with each year? Post them below, I can't wait to try a few out! Also, here is a collection of just a few of our Thanksgiving Recipes we've put together for you, enjoy! - Craig
